I saw a similar post like this over on Sophie's blog, Sophie's Makeup, and thought it would be a fun way to show you all what I've planned for this month. If anyone wants to get all up in my grill because I may have missed an update, this is why!
I would have this up at the very start of the month but I had other posts planned for those days, so now you guys get this post on the 7th/8th of November. I've got lots of projects on my plate and I'm so excited to start on each and every single one of them. I've already finished putting together the boards, and now all I have to do is paint/stain the rest. I've got one of the boards in the photos for today's post.
1. Finish the DIY timber backdrops for the blog - I found a bunch of wood ready to be disposed of around the corner from my place, so I took them home with me for this project!
2. Buy lights for the Christmas tree - I have a very realistic-looking (and ridiculously expensive) tree that I bought for my birthday a few years ago and I have yet to buy a few sets of lights for the tree.
3. Write at least 70% of my Blogmas posts in time for December so I don't have to rush in order to get content up.
5. Attend an 18th birthday bash for my dear friend Livi, and the dress code is ABC aka Anything But Clothes. I wonder if I should take it literally and simply go in my birthday suit.
6. Start shopping for Christmas presents so that I can avoid the rush in December and delayed shipping times. Firstly, though, I need to write a list of gifts that I need to get for everyone.
7. Start on my Christmas ornament projects - I've got a few things lined up. It was taking me a while to source some pine cones, but I've managed to get my hands on several through my Aunt, who has a Christmas tree farm.
8. Make my Birthday/Christmas order from Makeup Revolution at the end of the month. Bemoan the fact that the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette's restock date is now TBD instead of late October. Cry some more
9. Get all of my Christmas decorations from Mum's house and have everything ready to go by December the First. Finish all the DIY decorations by then.
10. Get to know the Truly Cruelty Free app and play with it. I've yet to test their parameters but I'm getting there. Expect a review on this app at the end of the month.
That's quite the list of things for me to do this month, aye? I found out that Priceline has a 40% off cosmetics sale tomorrow and Thursday, so I'm hoping to pick up a few things, namely the Essence lipliners, as I've heard nothing but good things about them. I'm also planning to pick up a couple of craft supplies tomorrow, or more specifically, bottle brush trees, as I need them for a few projects. My brushes from eBay finally arrived, and they are just so soft. I'm going to order the other set and it should arrive by the start of next month in time for my birthday haul.
By the way, this post marks the 100th post of the year! *fanfare*
What have you got planned for this month?
Excited to read about what you have planned for the month! I need to get started on some DIY decorations as well - we just bought the christmas tree and some ornaments... so that's a start!
