This has been a long time in coming and I'm exhilarated that this baby has kept on growing and growing. A few weeks ago I was struggling to try and figure out what to do to celebrate the 100 post milestone. I toyed with the idea of holding a giveaway and ending it on the 27th of July, but I realised that wasn't enough time to give everyone the opportunity to enter the giveaway. So instead, I'm going to open the giveaway on the 27th of July instead, because it's my blog's first birthday that day!
I thought it would be okay to talk a little bit about the giveaway before I start the rest of this post. As most of you all know, I've got a spending ban so I can't quite go out and buy things to send to the winner. However, I do have a thing for making people gifts, and the one thing that I'm rather decent at is crochet, namely amigurumi toys. It's the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed toys or figures, and I love making them. As I've got shitloads, mind my French, of wool sitting in large boxes, I figured I would give the winner of the giveaway the opportunity to choose exactly what they would love for me to whip up for them, be it superheroes, themselves, animals or even a little fat cupcake with eyes. The sky's the limit in this case.
I also plan on slipping a little surprise gift in the parcel in the giveaway as a little highlight.
Alright, now that you all know what the giveaway will be, I'll give you a few seconds to mark down the date on your calendar.
Done? Okay.
I decided to do a compilation post of the most popular posts for each month that I've been running this blog, just to uncover some buried treasure long since forgotten. Previously this blog was named The Thrifty Vegetarian, so most of my posts were centered around that niche. The format and photos for most these posts will appear different to how I write my posts these days.
July: Vegetarian Cheese 101
My second post ever on this blog I spoke about the differences between vegetarian and non-vegetarian cheese because a lot of people either assumed that all cheeses were vegetarian or simply could not be eaten by vegetarians as they contained milk.
August: Simple Sensitive Skin Micellar Water
In this post, I talked about a brand that I had thought was cruelty-free and vegan, but it turned out that it was owned by Unilever, a parent company notoriously known for testing on animals.
September: Who Doesn't Love a Good Sale?
In this post, I introduced my Australian Pure skincare haul that was organic, vegan, cruelty-free and super affordable.
October: The Lipstick Diaries Entry #3: Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream
One the first few Lipstick Diary Entries, the Australis Velourlips were my very first matte liquid lipsticks that I had ever tried. The brand is available in Australina (duh, as if the name wasn't obvious) and New Zealand.
November: e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeliner Review and Swatches
I haven't used these eyeliners in a while, but they perform much better than most eyeliners that I've tried, be it cream, gel, liquid or pen.
December: The Lipstick Diaries Entry #5: Essence Longlasting Lipsticks
Here I review and swatch three shades of the Longlasting Lipsticks range, and I still very much like them. I don't get to wear lipstick very often, but the nude lippie is definitely my go-to nude.
January: Teriyaki Tofu Don Recipe
I think there's a trend on this blog in which I publish recipes for Japanese food. I can't help but love the cuisine, and this is my favourite way to eat tofu.
February: Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush Review and Swatches
One of my most popular posts of all time, these blushes are amazing, and before I got the Rose Blush from Milani, I obsessed over these. I would love to add a couple more to my collection!
March: What Does It Mean To Be An Introvert?
There is a lot of misconceptions about the definition of 'introvert' and I thought it was important to clear that up, as I've been called by many names because they didn't understand that I was an introvert.
April: DownUnder Cosmetix Review and Swatches
In this post, I swatched and reviewed almost ALL of the shades in the DownUnder Cosmetix range, and I look forward to when they release the new shades and pressed powder eyeshadows. I own the Kinnaly shade, and it is really a wonderful champagne shade.
May: My Greatest Challenge Yet
Probably the most popular post on this blog, I came out as a deaf blogger to the world. It was a big deal for me because I've faced a lot of prejudice and discrimination when it comes to getting a job and communicating with people on a daily basis.
June: Takoyaki in My Heart
Haha, see, I was right, there is a trend of me uploading Japanese recipes onto the blog, but trust me, this takoyaki recipe is to die for, and you will not regret buying the pan to make these. In fact, you'll want to make this recipe twice a day, every single day.
I hope you enjoy catching up on these posts!
I slipped in a little clue somewhere in this post. Tell me in the comments if you spot it.

Thank you so much! <3 I'm actually proud of my efforts, who knew I had it in me?! It's an adorable journal, my sister got it for me for Christmas as part of a Harry Potter stationary set. I LOVE IT! (Especially the Hogwarts seal that I can use for my wedding invitations =D)
