What's In My Bag?

I thought it was a as good a time as anything to do a "What's In My Bag?" post. Today I took advantage of a $15 loyalty voucher I received from Strandbags, and finally replaced my wallet that was practically in tatters. Now that I had a brand spanking new purse that screamed for attention, I figured it was time.

Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush Review and Swatches

If you've been following me for a while, you may recall this post illustrating my Milani Cosmetics haul earlier this year. If you haven't read this post, read it if you're interested in knowing what I picked up. Otherwise, read on and be tempted by these two beauties. Don't get mad at me if I convinced you to buy them, they're amazing!

My Pumpkin Journey ~ Growing My Very First Pumpkins

You know how you find seeds inside certain vegetables like capsicum, tomato and cucumbers? One day, I was making some butternut squash chilli for dinner, and as I cut into a squash,  I found a lot of seeds that had already started sprouting cute green tips.

TAG : The Lipstick Product

I was nominated by Sally, from DiagonSally, to participate in this Lipstick Product tag. I thought it sounded fun, so I wholeheartedly accepted the nomination. I really love lipstick, and have developed a small collection. I don't wear them often enough, but it doesn't change the fact that they're my favourite beauty products, and I have more lipsticks than I do anything else.

My Sense Of Smell, Or Lack Thereof

I think everyone takes their sense of smell for granted. I think it's easy for them to forget that it's one of the most vital senses, right up there with sight or hearing. I say 'vital' because it's a sense that lets you know when something is wrong, be it with your body, your surroundings, a gas leak or even with the food you're about to eat. On a related note, your sense of smell also affects the way you taste food.

Wet n Wild Beauty First Impressions - Take It or Leave It?

I've been wanting to talk about Wet n Wild for a long time, but I had to wait until some of my current mascaras and eyeliners reached their expiry date. Part of being thrifty is to not buy, or use new products until you've used up your existing ones, or when they're past their expiry.

Grease: A Very Hairy Situation

Surely I'm not alone in that I get oily hair relatively quickly and easily? When I was in high school, I had to shower every morning, because by the end of the day my scalp would begin to show signs of impending doom. I had never heard of dry shampoo at the time, and the brightest idea anyone had ever suggested to me was to use baby powder. The flaw in that idea though, is that it made me look like I sprouted white hair overnight. Sometimes, when I was running late and couldn't shower, I would use a little bit of hairspray and lightly backcomb my mop, which helped slightly. In the end, however, nothing ever truly helped in keeping oily hair at bay.

My First Milani Cosmetics Haul Of 2016

I say first of the year, because no doubt I'll be back on the Milani website in a few months time, looking for more products to add to my kit. I've yet to use the ones I just got, and I have already added a few more to my wishlist. How crazy is that? This time last year I wouldn't even dare to think about buying a lipstick, and now I've got a collection of makeup to last me a lifetime. If you told me this time last year that I'd be obsessed with beauty products, I would have responded with "Bitch please, I'm al naturel!"

My Beauty Wishlist

Yes, yes, I am very well aware than the following products are expensive, but hey, this is a wishlist. I probably won't ever, ever, ever see the day where I would see the following in my collection, but on the off chance that someone wants to spoil me with something I so covet, have a look at this list. This list gets updated whenever I find something new to obsess over.
